Malva
Gorgeous day until around five when it suddenly turned chilly and cloudy. There was rain over the mainland and I could hear some distant thunder far away while we still had sun over my island. During the sunny period I was doing some serious weeding around the old henhouse, there has never been any hens there as long as I've been here but I planted a grapevine in there when I was seventy to use it for something, I thought the net might protect the plant from the deer that sometimes comes here. It took me a couple of hours to get from A to B (extra) and I'm quite pleased with the work. Hopefully the vine will produce some more grapes than it did last year, we'll se.
Last year I also planted some seeds from a plant growing along the main road. I liked the flowers and waited for it to seed and spread them out over my meadow here and there. The plant has come in three places so far and I hope it spreads even more, it's so beautiful. In Swedish it's called "Myskmalva", the latin name is Malva moschata. According to my app the whole plant is edible and in medicin it has been used to cure cough and is helpful for constipation. Good to know when that time comes. Until then I can use the flowers and the leaves in salad.
