Carlisle Cathedral

England's 2nd smallest of the ancient cathedrals, Derby being smaller. This one became a cathedral in 1133, having originally built for canonical life.

We were up in Carlisle to have The Man added as a signatory to our Social Club cheques. So annoying that our local Barclays has closed and the business couldn't be done in the town's hub. A 40 mile round trip for 2 couples as the current account holder had also to be there.

That done we went to the cathedral to see if the peregrine falcon was still there but we didn't see it.

When we got home we did a makeover of our photography reflection pool as it wasn't positioned quite where we needed it and had grown algae. Kaybee's gonk came out again to be our test model. Who needs birds or red squirrels to photograph when you have a gonk?

Upcoming Blipmeet:
I've been organising a Cumbrian Blipmeet. I'm lucky that there are a few blipping couples we have meals with but it's a long time (pre-Covid) since we've been on an anybody-come-along-if-you-can sort of blipmeet.

So, it's near Cockermouth on Thursday, 10th July, to celebrate Tryfan46 moving to the Lake District. Details are on Community Page.
