Up early and was in the Mind shop by 9.30am, not bad considering the traffic.
I found Nina, the Manager, in the back room and told her about my job at the Daisy Chain charity shop. She was upset understandably, but appreciated that it made sense for me to work somewhere nearer to home. I was glad I'd been able to tell her in person, rather than just send a message.
I had a really busy morning organising the bric-a-brac shelves, selecting and pricing up vases, and other glass, china and wooden paraphernalia from the bags/boxes of donations. I enjoyed it - I'm usually on the till - re-arranging items according to size and, most importantly colour, and sidetracking lower lever stuff to the table outside the shop.
Julie, the previous manager, popped in for a couple of hours volunteering which was really lovely as I haven't seen her for a few months. We laughed and chatted like the old days!!!
I left after lunch, but I'll be back on saturday for my very last day, and arrived at the hairdressers with minutes to spare. It's just up the road from my house and I'm trying it out.... but not sure I'll be back. I suppose I'm so used to Sue just knowing what I want that it's difficult transitioning to another. I went home and snipped a bit with my hairdresser's scissors....
A lovely long video chat with my daughter this evening ♡
