End of an Era

How quickly the mighty can fall. 
Friends had a large dead horse chestnut tree in their garden - it was like an enormous skeleton (extra). It was becoming dangerous and so had to be felled. 
The tree surgeons came in this morning and by the end of the day, it was in pieces. There is a lot of 'tree' now to be taken away which will be tomorrow's job. 
Unfortunately it is not good wood for fires.
