Prickly Heat

Horrible grown-up day today. Had to miss The Youngest’s Sports Day due to a meeting I couldn’t get out of.

Fortunately, the meeting went well and according to EW2, The Youngest wasn’t happy with any of her events, so maybe I dodged a sulky bullet?!

Following last week’s running efforts and cognisant of an upcoming “heavy” weekend, I was determined to keep the exercise going and set off on a run up river. It really is a rather pretty route with loads to look at and a little shade, which is most welcome on a hot day.

Pleasantly surprised to find that I had run the first 5k in under 27mins - we don’t need to worry about the remaining 2.5k…..

Disappointed to find that Alcaraz blew Norrie away on Centre Court, but to be fair to Norrie, he was up against a generational talent.

Started some packing for the weekend. Can’t wait to get away for a couple of days!
