Buckden Pike Path

A birthday walk and Olive’s first summit in the Dales - the walk just short of 2000ft elevation and 9miles. The stone flags on the path up Buckden Pike have come from old, reclaimed mill flags -this one retaining the paint stains from year’s past. The flags were chosen for their durability and ability to withstand the harsh weather conditions found on the mountain. The path's repair, which included transporting these heavy flags to the summit, was a collaborative effort involving the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority and a helicopter for delivery
