LEUCANTHEMUM ADUSTUM
I make no apology for this being another flower shot because our Leucanthemum Adustum, more commonly known as Saw-leafed Moon Daisy, is looking beautiful again this year.
Despite the difficult weather conditions with hardly any rain, they are blooming well - so the Hollyhocks and these beauties are looking good.
I did a “Chelsea chop” on our Sage bush a couple of weeks ago, and that is now blooming well again - and I really enjoyed my wander around the garden earlier. In case you are wondering what a “Chelsea Chop” is, this is how Mr. Google describes it and it has certainly worked well on the Sage bush.
“The "Chelsea chop" is a pruning technique for herbaceous perennials, typically done in late May, around the time of the Chelsea Flower Show, hence the name. It involves cutting back plants by about a third to a half, which delays flowering, encourages bushier growth, and can prevent plants from becoming too tall and floppy.”
I am about to go out shopping, but thought I would post my Blip now. M & S have a new Food Hall, so I might even treat us to something from there for our evening meal. Mr. HCB, who was out in the garden early again this morning, has decided not to come with me - I think he would rather be at home doing his jigsaw than dragging around behind “indecisive me”!
Hope you are managing to stay cool - as for us, we are still praying for rain ASAP! M xx
