Evita

Today, we returned to the Palladium, this time with a ticket, to see the high-energy choreography of Jamie Lloyd’s production of Evita. Rachel Zegler was stunning as Eva, and Diego Andrés Rodriguez was brilliant as Che.

I was sceptical about the balcony performance being streamed from the Palladium’s real balcony, but it works. You will not be short-changed. But you should try to see it from both sides.

I’ve been fortunate enough to see many London theatre performances. I’ve never seen a standing ovation like this one.
