Bracing for the 90’s

Heating up again. I wonder what tomatoes need more: heat or sunlight? Heat we have, but darned if we’re not losing sunlight around here. I trimmed even more off both an apple tree and Grandma’s lilac bush to give all seven tomato plants more light. Next year, I swear, I’m only planting 3. 
We got the orange tomato cages from a garden club friend who moved to a retirement place. I sent her this picture, too, and told her Eric is in a band that will play there next month, so now we have a date.
