Hot Hot Hot

** Backblip for Tuesday 1st July 2025 **

A blazing hot day, so we chose to visit Hazel in her care home in the morning. She was in a bit better form than two weeks ago, but she still couldn’t hear much of what either Mary or I were saying. It’s not really conducive to a natural and flowing conversation when you have to bellow everything you’re saying and really enunciate it. I do hope Hazel is given a hearing test and aids sooner rather than later. We left at 11.45, and the car was literally like an oven. Sadly I don’t have air conditioning in it, so the journey back to Tiptree was grim.

In the afternoon, the PCC Secretary sent 14 documents to be read by Wednesday 9th July. I ploughed through them and got the general idea. I paid a couple of bills online, and finished off the budget planner for the financial adviser. By the time I’d got through all this admin type stuff there was little time left to read any of the book club novel. I didn’t stray further than the back garden for a blip!
