Snow Leopard

Today we visited Marwell. We have not been for a couple of years now, when Boy was very little. The other day Boy announced that he had a memory of going there. He claimed that a mark on his knee (which has gone now) was from when we went to Marwell when he was a baby. He said that we wandered off and left him in front of the hippo enclosure. At which point a small hippo then leant through the fence and started to nibble his knee. Thankfully for Boy Batman then appeared and saved him from being eaten up.

Now I don't like to call Boy a liar but we definitely did not leave him at the hippo enclosure (or anywhere else for that matter) and as far as I am aware the Caped Crusader was not there that day. I think real life and dreams may be getting a bit mixed up again, a bit like the time he pulled his finger off and threw it under his bed.

Anyway today was not quite as dramatic though there was a moment when a group of Lemurs lost their rag and screamed at us and some others which made us all jump a little. Can't blame them really, being watched all the time. The day was fun and the little ones enjoyed themselves. As we did a final circuit at the end of the day on the tractor train I could see the tiredness in every parent and childs eyes. I couldn't see it in Boys eyes as he was already asleep on me.

Girl claimed her favourite thing to see of the day was the ants. Ants!, not Rhinos, not Leopards but Ants. We could have just gone out to the pavement outside our house to see ants.
