Cold coffee
To the office. It’s still warm enough to appreciate the air conditioning.
I had imagined today would be quite quiet. When I entered the office, I did not have that many meetings booked, but by the end of the day, many of the gaps had been filled. At one point, it seemed there was an issue where some colleagues with extensive business knowledge were becoming upset about the number of meetings they were being asked to attend to explain things. So, I joined one of the meetings in question and didn’t see a problem. The advantage of being in the office is that you can talk to people directly, and it was one of those miscommunications. However, as a result, we have a nice workshop next week.
No time for a canteen lunch today, so a bit of a heat blast outside before stepping into Tesco. I bought a meal deal. Whenever I buy a meal deal, I usually get one of the coffee drinks. I don’t like most of the drinks included in the supermarket meal deals, but PY likes the cold coffee. So, I get one of those and then have a nice hot version from the machine back in the office. I put the cold drink in my bag. I often forget to take them out and put them in the fridge when I get home.
After work, a few of us went for a drink. C left after a couple of beers, and three of us remained until closing. Tonight we discovered how Andrew got to see Taylor Swift and had an unhealthy conversation about robot hoovers. Another fun evening — we all got the tube together a little merry.
But tonight, I was not too merry to forget to put the coffee drink in the fridge for PY. It’s been added to the collection.
