Grand staircase at the Royal College of Physicians
We were both well enough to attend an event at the Royal College of Physicians this afternoon. I have never been in this building before and greatly admired the staircase (blipped).
The event itself was organised to celebrate the launch of the online archive of The people's dispensary. It wasn't as interesting as I hoped. Of the four presentations delivered, only one was good. Of the other three, one was competent, and the other two poor. I felt rather embarrassed to have encouraged Mr hazelh to come with me to sit through all this, especially on such a lovely sunny day. Still the venue, refreshments, event chair, and Q&A session at the end (largely thanks to great questions) were great. It was also nice to bump into an old colleague in the audience with us.
My trip out was sandwiched between morning exercise and afternoon/early evening gardening and prep for Mummy hazelh's imminent move (tomorrow).
Oh, and we ate some of our beans with supper tonight.
Exercise today: 1 hour on the exercise bike; strength training; gardening; walking (16,673 steps).
