Frog

Without wishing to attach agency to a simple amphibian I'll tell you a tale about this one.
My wife and I set to tidying up the overgrowth around the pond as well as the mat of duckweed on the pond itself. No sooner had we started than froggy hopped up out of the pond onto the surrounding ledge. He (she?) then sat there watching us for an hour or so whilst we busied ourselves around her (him?) apparently unperturbed. As we finished we heard a plop, froggy had jumped back into the pond.
I'd like to think that the frog trusted us and was happy to have us tidy up his (her) home!
