Poppies

A busy day at work. Very warm outside, but with a cooling breeze. So good to get out with partner on the morning walk. In an area that had been dug up, lots of poppies have appeared. Then a nice walk through the park home.

After work, partner and I head to some nearby woods. There is quite a bit of buzzing as insects pass us at head height.But they are too fast to photograph. We also spot several red admiral butterflies, not as fast as the buzzy insects, but not easy to photograph today as either the wings are closed, or they fly off as soon as we approach. Heading home, it gets a bit cloudy, but no rain, which is a good thing.
