A big bee on the lavender growing on the patio

In the early evening I watered a few of the tender plants on the patio. This lavender isn't one of them but its lovely smell got my attention. The presence of a big bee indicates it too was attracted but whether it was because of the colours or the fragrance I can't be sure.
