In among the ferns

No much pep in my step today, but I knew that a walk would do me good. Plenty of ferns along the road and plenty of traffic this morning too. I was out later than usual and had to listen for cars coming in both directions. Lucky the roadside has been mowed, but there are still plenty of places where there's very little or no room on the side of the road to get out of the way. Most drivers are considerate.
We were meant to get rain overnight and this morning but only got a few drops. We need more than that.
