Morning 2 of the Intermediate Research Software Programming Course: testing and debugging. I had to remind myself of how to use the debugger. I think because python can be run interactively there is less of a need for a debugger. I asked around in the office and my python programming colleagues also only very rarely use a debugger. The course went well. In the evening we went to the open air cinema in Kreuzberg to watch the Phoenician Scheme. We very much enjoyed the film. It was also quite fun seeing bats fluttering about in front of the screen.
