Morning run
While we were at La Fête des Voisins on Saturday night, the Minx asked if there was anywhere good to run around where we're staying.
It hadn't even occurred to me, but it turned out that there were a couple of runners on our table, who recommended a run out along an old train line.
It's a bit cooler, this week*, and running first thing seemed an entirely reasonable proposition. Thus, I set off around seven-thirty, this morning.
It was a nice run, actually. Just under five miles, and the second half, returning along a back road, was very pleasant.
As for the old train line... well, far be it from me to contradict local knowledge, but it was very different from the English equivalent. Very uneven underfoot, which slowed me down a bit, and quite windy and hilly.
Although not unenjoyable and I expect I'll do it again.
I was back in time for daily yoga and swim with the Minx, and then to work.
* low thirties instead of high.
