African Moon Moth

We’ve been waiting for one of the Moon moths to emerge for a few weeks now and today was the day! When I got in this morning, it was hanging beautifully in the emerging cage. How exciting :))

I moved it carefully to a branch and it’s been there all morning. Will be interesting to see if it is still there on Saturday morning. In the meantime I’m going to watch a YouTube about breeding these moths as the caterpillars are really fascinating to see.

The childminding group consisted of 25 children under 5 and 7 adults. They were all very well behaved apart from one little boy screamed the house down as he didn’t want to go inside the BH but the other three kids were very clingy and she didn’t want them to miss out so had to bring him
In eventually as they wouldn’t go in with anyone else.

They all seemed to enjoy themselves though.
