Fledging

When I went out first thing to move logs, I spotted this wee fledgling on the grass. I knew there was a thrush’s next a few feet away, well hidden in the heart of the camellia bush. We have seen the mother flying back and forth with food for her babies. I left well alone and hoped the bird would be ok. At least we don’t have any cats living nearby. I went back to check a few hours later - no sign of it on the lawn so…fingers crossed it survives.

A hot day today. I had some mowing to do and decided to get it done this afternoon as the weather is only going to get hotter and I will be away this weekend. I had a lovely shower afterwards.
