Please Behave Yourselves ….
… someone is taking photos! Not far below the Dorbon Gîte (extra), the twin baby marmots were racing around the rock and Mum came out to tell them off!
What a beautiful walk it was, past a herd of black, Swiss, fighting cows, actually fighting. It was their first day heading for the high pastures and these cows have a strict hierarchy which they battle for (extra … taken right into the sun, ouch). Lots of butterflies were speeding around the alpages, including one Apollo that I failed to capture. While I was sneaking up on the Apollo, a Large Wall and Ringlet (background) had taken up residence on my rucksack! I must have been sweating today!
Thanks for all the presents for yesterday’s Common Blue butterfly. I haven’t had much energy to comment recently but it is coming back. Today I was slow in the mountains, we’ll see what tomorrow brings.
