Boathouse and boats by the Thames

This shows an old boathouse in the grounds adjacent to the riverside grounds where my house is located. This one has not been converted into a dwelling like most of those nearby .
The canoes, kayaks etc. can be stored on the rack and in this area but not anywhere else in the grounds.
I have a double kayak stored here which we bought when we first moved near the river. Over the years my children and myself have used it a lot but never my husband! We have also lent it to other families and sometimes used to put it on the roof rack to take to other parts of the Thames.

After swimming this morning I have looked after grandson who could not go to school as he had been sick..possibly heat related. He was fine later and no trouble to look after. A friend came to lunch as planned.
