Glaven Rhapsody

Every year a group of talented composers, musicians and writers get together to put on the ‘Five Churches Festival’. Concerts are held in the five churches within the beautiful Glaven Valley in North Norfolk. The churches are those in Blakeney, Cley-Next-the-Sea, Wiveton, Letheringsett and Glandford.

M and I went to the early evening performance of ‘Glaven Rhapsody’, an hour long multimedia piece which included a wonderful live performance on a cello and viola, accompanied by film, pre-recorded soundscape and the spoken word. All celebrating this beautiful area.

This is just part of this lovely church interior. The only downside are the narrow, upright wooden pews, but we were prepared and took cushions.

We felt very privileged to be there.
