Lavender & Honey

A Western Honey Bee, to be exact :) • Cooler temps under cloudy skies but still humid. Haven’t seen a raindrop despite the daily forecasts for showers and thunderstorms • I peered out the bathroom window this morning to find the soil in both planter boxes in disarray. I went out for a closer look and found “disarray” an understatement • A young dear deer, I presume, ate both tomato plants, down to the soil, 3 fennel, and all of the annuals with one exception…we’re both shocked and greatly disappointed. We planted late as it is but to lose everything now is maddening. I told MrsP I’ve no interest in replanting, and she agreed • The begonias and zinnias that are elsewhere in the yard are still standing, thankfully • Little bugger(s) • Excited an American will be in the women’s Wimbledon final. For fun I watched a replay of Martina Navratilova’s 1983 Wimbledon win. I’m sure I saw it live but don’t recall • Peace & Love
