Old school friends

T and I welcomed L and her husband to our house today. They are on a southern sojourn from Edinburgh. T and L have known each other since their primary school days in Edinburgh. It was lovely to see them again despite the temperature rising to 29 degrees. Butterflies are booming. Birds are struggling. T’s garden planting is wilting before our eyes in this continuing heat. It’s only 21degrees in Funchal!
