From Stuttgart to Hagenau today.
Crazy and slightly scary detour round a road closed by a fire in a small village. Steep, narrow cobbled streets with tight bends and no-one quite knowing where they were going. Add a couple of large wagons...you can imagine.
Anyway we made it through, and after a rest stop to calm nerves, entered the Black Forest. A wonderful road, the famous B500, lovely swooping curves. Stopped at this little lake for bratwurst, and enjoyed the sunshine and a peaceful stroll round the lake. Carried on along the B500 and was fun to recognise some of the places we stopped on our trip here 2yrs ago.
Then into Baden-Baden for a wander round and some very large and beautifully presented ice creams, eaten in a cafe on the fountain square.
Discovered a Woolworth's...
Then on to Hagenau for the night
