Pine

A very hot day. I took this photo of a local Corsican pine ( Pinus nigra) as I walked home ( slowly!) from Pilates. I could have imagined I  was actually in Corsica today.

Earlier, I bought a copy of The Road Home by Rose Tremain. I started reading it, and had difficulty putting it down. We've been invited to attend the August meeting of my Mother's old book club and this is the book they'll be discussing. It's a welcome distraction from all the post funeral admin  still to be done.We have been overwhelmed by people's kindness over the past few weeks, and they need to be thanked properly.
