Butterfly
You can just about make out the butterfly that flew by and settled on the ‘Karl’ palm in the garden.
I was out there doing yet more painting and this time tackled the garden gate. I also did a bit of weeding and tackled the brambles which are uber annoying as they come over from next door (right side). I would never have brambles in our garden because they are a real pain so it feels extra of a nuisance to have to hack back and dispose of someone else’s. We can’t really leave them as they come across at head height over a fence that runs down the side of our house so you get attacked by them if you venture down there.
I also took apart an old wooden bench that had rotted beyond salvation and cut back some overhang from the other neighbour’s garden (left side) which was casting too much shade over our acer that we took out of its pot and planted up in our border. I also tried hacking down some of the ivy that was also climbing out of their garden into ours and was starting to cling to the shed as well as the fence.
I filled up our wheelie bin with garden waste and none of it was from stuff in our garden!
Today’s lunchtime trip was to the Waterloo Cross where I had a nice steak and salad. It has been so nice making it through the week without having to cook a single meal! I could get used to this!
