Dual Dishwashing

Biscuit is always keen to check the dishes before they’re put into the dishwasher. A kind of pre-wash I suppose.

However, compared to the rest of my day, this is a pretty feeble blip. Thursday is the day of The ROMEOS (Retired Older Men Eating Out). We are a group of about ten men who meet for breakfast each week, and often tell each other incredible tales from our very different professional lives. Biscuit would love to come, because we’re all at the age that stuff is usually dribbled down our front, eg egg yolk, or dropped on the floor.

We usually meet at St Nicholas Prestwick golf club, which has a wonderful view over to Arran. I was so overwhelmed by the view today, in the good weather, that I completely forgot to take a photo.

The afternoon highlight was the dog from across the road coming to visit. They’ve recently moved into the Crescent and “Billy” has decided that our pups are the best playmates he’s ever met. They play well together. Hamish got a long walk with Brogan, his human best friend, later on. A two hour run in Auchincruive.

The evening was made up of coos across our fence to the back and a gorgeous sunset which my iPhone never does justice to. And so time for the big sleep.
