Sheffield day trip

Peace Gardens... Sheffield by the sea.

Susie and I have had a fab day, we try to get a day out every year whilst she is visiting from Hong Kong. So far we've had a couple of tours of York, Scarborough and once to Harrogate, today was Sheffield's turn .
The atmosphere in the Peace Gardens was amazing, the sun was out and the kids were having a brilliant time playing in the fountains, on the beach and on the many seaside rides ... No donkeys tho'

We wandered through the exhibitions in the Millenium Gallery, had lunch with a complimentary bottle of wine and pint of beer in The Old House - Division St- took a tram ride around town and finished the day with a drink in the Sheffield Tap.
All change next year as Susie will move back to the UK, indeed she will move to York so our days out may increase!
Must get earning some pennies!

My day started with a crackingly good cup of coffee from a rather lovely new place ...Brew and Brownie on Museum St in York.

Just noticed that it is exactly a year since our last day out.
