Abstract Thursday - ‘Lines’

Back into St Luke’s for 9am, where I joined Sheila, Sue and Wendy for morning prayer before the main service. There’s certainly a lot to pray about in our world today, and I had some people dear to me with health issues whom I wanted to include in the prayers.

After lunch I caught up with some of the Blipfoto journals that I follow, and then decided to drive over to Stanway and do the grocery shop once the heat of the day had started to dissipate. It was nice and cool in there, and not many shoppers. I went up to the clothing department first for a browse and to get a few things. At the checkout I had loads of vouchers which qualified for extra Nectar card points, but the scanning machine decided it didn’t like me and kept rejecting each one. I had to keep calling over an assistant to manually approve them. Eventually I got nearly £10 worth of points added to my Nectar card, so it was worth the hassle.

Many thanks to Ingeborg for hosting the Abstract Thursday challenge, with this week’s theme of ‘Lines’. In the Sainsbury’s upstairs clothing department, the sun was shining through the window onto a stripy vest which had been put back on the rail somewhat crumpled. Blip done.
