Shadows

It’s Mr S’s birthday and I made lemon scones for breakfast and put in a candle and sang the song. The scones were so tasty and we had coffee and it was fun and A came in from LA to help celebrate. Treekeeper took us all out to dinner. All that is more excitement than we’ve had in a long time. 
But I had even more fun with an emergency trip to the dentist in the middle of it all. Turns out there is a fracture in one of my teeth and it needs to come out. The round of appointments starts tomorrow. I’ve done this cycle before. Not happy. But I was able to eat my dinner and enjoy the company of our sons.  Home now, winding down. Everyone’s good and tired and full and glad to be together.
