Life is a Challenge!

FLOWER FRIDAY - CLEMATIS "BLUE ANGEL"

This is our beautiful Clematis “Blue Angel” that was given the “Mrs. HCB Chop” back in March.  Mr. HCB is very good at pottering and looking after the vegetables and his greenhouses, and I must admit he does lots of other things in the garden, but quite frankly, he doesn’t know how to prune - sorry Mr. HCB!

I am very different but don’t potter as much in the garden as I used to and definitely prune well - to the point that I worry that I may have killed some of our plants - but they all come back to life - which might be because I talk to them too! So enjoy our “Blue Angel” against the blue fence, which really could do with a lick of paint, but won’t get it in this heat.

We left the bedroom curtains drawn back last night and at about 2.30 I was woken by the moon shining on me - it looked like a full moon, so after my nightly trip to the bathroom, I went downstairs and brought my Canon camera with the 50x zoom up to the bedroom.  This shot was hand-held but I used my remote control and the result is in as an extra.

According to the BBC website : “It's a type of supermoon - which is when the Moon is closest to Earth and full - and different supermoons have different names.  The Buck Moon gets its name because traditionally July is the time when a buck - or male deer - grows its full antlers.”

It’s even hotter today, so we are trying to keep hydrated and drinking lots of water.  Stay cool and have a great weekend.  M xx
