No mow
Over the past few years we have stopped cutting various areas of the garden which not only saves work but, with a little effort, can encourage wildflowers to colonise the areas in question.
The one on the left is up by the study. On the right the pathway round the pond is slowly being established by occasional narrow cutting. Further down the slope we have been working to eliminate gorse and hopefully by next year we will have some emerging grass ready to welcome some flower seeds - naturally sown perhaps.
