A not-so-green Green
Another very similar shot to yesterday. I took this as I walked across the Green to go to the butcher’s around 10.00 am. The Council workman was busy gathering up the mown grass and depositing it in the back of the trailer. The colours of the grass and the sky tell their own story.
Before breakfast I had been out in the garden, dead heading the roses and watering and feeding the tubs. It was about 20° even at 7.00 am, and I was very glad to have got it done before the weather got much hotter. The warmest my watch showed today was 30°, which is far too hot for me. Apart from when I was hanging washing out in the garden, I spent the rest of the day in the relatively cool craft room, working on my dress. I’m pleased to say it’s coming along nicely.
