Oats - farmed!

You can see a thin sliver of the Firth of Forth in the distance with the hills of East Lothian in the background, but it was the great field of oats that caught my eye. It was Gillingshill Nature Reserve at Arncroach for our morning walk, and it was lovely. The sun was shining, it was dry with a gentle breeze and we had the place to ourselves.
By mid day it was hot, hot, hot! Geordie lay under his parasol, occasionally chasing pigeons or crows that were cheeky enough to land in his garden, and I sat in the summer house and read for hours. My excuse is that it was far too hot to do anything else.
