(Not) The Red Arrows

This morning was bowling in tremendous heat and no shade. I had to organise things and collect the money as the usual people couldn't make it.  There were eight of us playing which was good considering the heat.  Mad dogs and Englishmen came to mind!

Early evening the Red Arrows came over the garden. I dashed for the camera and caught the smoke as they zoomed down.  I looked them up on their website and they're not down for a display today and we're nowhere near their base so don't know why they were flying over.

Afterwards we went to see the latest play by Shaun the local playwright and actor. It is going to be performed at the Edinburgh Fringe and is a very clever one man show called Frankenstein Afterglow about what happens when the book ends.

Thank you to GEO2B for pointing out that they weren't the Red Arrows. Whoever they were, it was great to see the display.
