Fishers of Men

Thank you for your good wishes. Today's funeral went well and was a very fitting celebration of Alan's life. Good to be reminded of the man he used to be rather than the man he had become over the last few years. His wife is as sharp as ever and coped very well. They would have been married for 70 years this year.

I enjoyed wandering around Kelso again this morning, I managed to resist having a second (yes I had one yesterday) gelato, but it was tough.
The drive home this afternoon was very pleasant, the roadworks which had held me up yesterday seemed to have vanished much to my relief.
