Flower Friday ...

... from sunflowers to dahlias..

I've been eyeing this tiny dahlia for a little while now for Flower Friday.  I finally got the macro out in order to make some pictures of it.  I really love the tiny flower within a flower.  And don't let the size here fool you ... the whole flower is about the size of an American quarter.  Please have a look full screen.

In other news:  We didn't plan our walk very well today as we left it for after lunch ... the hottest part of this 90° F day.  But we went to Jacobsburg State Park and the walk through the forest was at least shaded.  And there was an ever so slight breeze on occasion.  That being said the pool was a welcome respite for the heat when we returned home.
