OCF Day 1

Day one of the Oregon Country Fair, the three day hippie festival west of Eugene. Fun, warm, but not excruciatingly hot. I can’t describe it in few words.

I have tried to capture it in a narrative poem gleaned from the eavesdropped snippets of conversations we hear. Here’s this year’s first offering.

I’m down for a burrito.

Watch out. Cart coming through. Hot ice. Cart coming through. Hot ice.

There was a dog, but there was no dog. That’s pretty funny.

Exchange between a couple of later teens:
“These are good.”
“Fuck yeah, they’re good.”

Yeah, we lost Donovan like the first three friggin’ minutes.

Is there anything easy anymore?

We don’t want to put our feet on the chair, we want to put our butt in the chair.

We’re always seeking these places out with these chairs. We wish they were all through the place.

This music is for the people who have had the Kush.
