Waiting for the bus/Engine 620
Another hot but pleasant day. I took W to the bus early early and - despite plans to go straight back to bed - spent nearly two hours weeding a very jungly front bed. It was so humid I nearly dissolved. But there were no bugs until the sun rose!
Dropped off D at the metro later for his weekend away at an Air B&B in DC with some college friends. (I could say slightly worried/hopeful mom things here.) Fun coffee meet-up with Cousin Shelley.
I ended up with an hour to while away this evening, as W. and I got our wires crossed about when he'd be getting back from work. He'd normally be riding his bike between home and the government center, and parking it there in the morning before taking the shuttle-metro-bus combo to work, but his bike needs to visit the shop. I snapped some shots from the neighborhood and watched this hook-and-ladder truck race by and turn in at the old mill (now restaurant and shops) in the background.
extras: hydrangeas (limelight?), Puccio's Deli across the street (typical old Leesburg stucco building), Loudoun Co. government building
