The last time

I didn't have a great night's sleep. I think I've got a summer cold coming and yesterday's news was going around and around in my head.

Went for an early walk up the folly again on my own. It gave me time to think and what I need to do to protect my future.

As I was about to check out the fire alarms went off. It turns out someone left their shower running and the room was full of steam. I hope it wasn't one of my lot. Lol!

The team meeting wasn't as energised as yesterday, I suspect it was because a few people stayed out late. We overran by quite some distance, health and safety yet again. They took 20 minutes on 2 slides and still had another 40 to go for the next 20 minutes. It was inevitable that they weren't going to do it.

I nearly broke down at the end of the meeting, knowing full well that this is probably the last time we will all be in the same room together. My young padawan recognised how I was feeling and gave me a big hug at the end of the day.

The journey home gave me plenty of time to think.
