Finished...

...work at 7am and ambled home the longish way, pausing at the bench atop Marple Ridge. Boaters on the Peak Forest Canal were awakening in the near distance and it was peaceful for about 10 minutes or so until the commuters increased in numbers to make it less so.

A short roll downhill into Marple found their little Asda for a few groceries. It's been ages since I have called into this store and that was by bicycle via the park behind it, so it wasn't obvious as to how to exit the car park. A helpful lady gave directions on how to circumnavigate the one-way before pointing at a tiny gap by the entry, winking at me and suggesting that Biscuit "would squeeze through there no problem!" and she did, only to be gurned at by an angry looking van driver but he could do-one as we say around these parts ;-D

Back at home for a bowl of fruit n' nut, followed by falling asleep on the settee involuntarily. Your Gal was cream-crackered, as they say in other parts that favour rhyming slang, somewhere that eldest has disappeared to for a couple of days sightseeing with one of her friends.

I woke later in the afternoon for a bath and did my best to let plenty of air through the house to avoid suggesting that the weather is too hot because who knows what it'll be like in a week or so. I didn't fancy cooking and so youngest was equally keen to enjoy a takeaway. Despite intending to have a good natter with lovely Bestie, I expired again post-Biryani, waking at gone 10pm when Dad rang to say Hai, so I messaged her before failing dreadfully by falling into a deep sleep again, dead to the world. Must have needed it.
