Right Place, Right Time

Another hot day and I'd gone out early for a walk before the heat became too oppresive. I did see some deer, and took some photos but nothing out of the ordinary.

We spent much of the day indoors, watching first the British Lions and then Wimbledon. So pleased for the British doubles champions and so sad that the Women's final was so one sided. I thought the runner up was very brave to speak so well after such a drubbing.

I dropped L off for a girls night out and was heading home when a police road block caused me to have to take an alternative route. I passed this field and noticed this stag grazing. I grabbed the camera which I had fortunately put in the car and was able to get quite close without him spooking. I just love these sorts of shot with the subject backlit against a dark background.
