The Dookits

It was even hotter today but with a bit of a breeze which made it more comfortable. I had my usual Saturday long lie and then son no 1’s partner and I pottered around the local shops and the market. I treated myself to a new pair of sandals in the Rogersons’ summer sale. I think I tried on practically every pair in the shop! Home for lunch and to read the paper in the shade. I’d planned to watch the ladies Wimbledon final (sounds like I didn’t miss much) but instead joined my friends, Helen and Kate for a couple of very refreshing swims in the Tweed. It was hard going swimming against the current. Lots of people enjoying the water.
Out to the Gilchimps tonight (our BeeGees group) for a delicious meal, served up in their lovely garden.
