Watersmeet

Planning to go to a Bangers Meeting (Cars not sausages) today - but the heat dissuaded us - no shade available and temps up in the high 20's or maybe early thirties so we drove over to Watersmeet.  The river is running very low - due to the lack of rainfall - as can be seen in this snap.
After a relaxing coffee we headed home....and stopped off at the Lynton/Barnstaple train station to watch the Sir George Newnes, rescued from South Africa where it served to deliver sugar cane, taking passengers for a ride.
A lovely outing - but boy was it hot.  A relief to come home and now settling down to watch the Men's Wimbledon final.
