Oslo - Day three.

Both my friend and I came with a “must do” list. Mine was highly influenced by “The Times” recent suggestions, plus curiosity as to how things might have changed 20 plus years on.

Oslo has certainly not disappointed. My friend finished her list, plus a couple of impromptu diversions.

I had just come out of a lovely service in Oslo Cathedral, when I got an excited text. “Don’t, whatever you do, miss City Hall. A serious WOW moment.”

Indeed. The music in the morning Communion service had been magnificent, so I decided not to stay for an organ recital, but to head for the number 12  ( air conditioned ) tram and check it out for myself.

The City Hall is unusual, and certainly impressive. I’m glad my itinerary was flexible.

Actually, we replanned our day to take in the Wimbledon Men’s Final.  A late and leisurely lunch and we’re back in the hotel for Jannik and Carlos….

Tomorrow we’re flying to Longyearben…….watch this space.
