Purple-Loosestrife

When my friend B and I went for our usual walk this morning, lots of these pretty wildflowers were growing in a tiny brook running through a ditch along the way; and they all had plenty of wild bees and small white (or cabbage) butterflies on them. 

There’s only a trickle of water left in the ditch, and the fields are looking very dry again. We were hoping for rain showers today, but didn’t get any. Hopefully the next days will bring some much needed rain.
