Spotted
this the other day when I was doing a bit of pruning on the hedge. The hedge is my nature project and it's only three years old so I'm always chuffed to find a new species. It's a smooth pea gall wasp, apparently. I'm not likely to see the wasp (at 4mm long) which will hopefully hatch next spring after dropping to the ground with the leaf in autumn.
